Luke always felt as though he was swallowing his tongue around you, as if one false move could get you ripped from his grasp. Your presence made him feel alive; a high feeling that he’s constantly needing. He never considered that you felt the same.
He was contemplating it less after this weekend. You’d spent the night in his bed, Friday to Sunday, rarely venturing back into your own room. Yes, it was named platonic but he felt as if he was finally closing the gap between friends and lovers. But then you went on a date the next day.
